oil on canvas, 79.5×60.3 cm

Signed and dated lower right P. Conti ’84

All played out on the splendid blue-green/gray-earth chord, referring to the experience of a horizon in which the moon shines, the painting accentuates, simplifies and flattens, icastically, geometric forms other times used by the artist to operate only through the resonance of colors.

It is, here, a typically Contian way of achieving poetry through painting, starting from a state of mind not prioritized, but aroused by shapes and colors, as by words and sounds, in simultaneous relationship with the emotion of an image we carry within us. Also intense is the virtual relationship with music, which Conti seems to resort to by innate predisposition, in the articulate logic of composing.
