The futurist theme, of Macchiaioli descent, of the woman sewing in an interior is here entrusted to pure sign, laid out in rapid notations directly on the tablet. The initial idea is thus combined with an unprecedented post-impressionist efauve approach, reconciling the author's two interests during this period.
