II motif of nudes in the woods, of vegetation implying cycles of constant renewal in nature, is one of the themes of recent years. In the Large Nude of Leaves Conti sought to apply to the oil technique the concise drafting of his drawings. The friability of the tracings and the transparency of the strokes are part of the stresses of the different material the artist used.
