oil on canvas, 79,5×60,3 cm

signed and dated lower right P. Conti '84

Entirely played on the splendid blue-green/grey-earth harmony, referring to the experience of a horizon where the moon shines, the painting accentuates, simplifies and flattens, iconically, geometric shapes that the artist had previously used to operate solely through the resonance of colours.

Here, we see a typically Conti-like approach to poetry through painting, starting from a state of mind that is not a primary concern, but one evoked by shapes and colors, as well as words and sounds, simultaneously connected to the emotion of an image we carry within us. The virtual relationship with music is also intense, a connection that Conti seems to draw upon out of an innate predisposition, within the complex logic of composition.
