The reason for the Figure with the sun behind him It first appeared in 1975. The title explicitly describes the relationship between light and color in most of these paintings, which is no longer exclusively mechanical but, from this point on, also symbolic. At the same time, it signals the presence of a fixed element, standing out against the celestial horizon, around which a circular parabola unfolds. In structure, the painting echoes the appearance of the older drawing, where the image has not yet reached its final archetypal form and still hints at figurative modes.
