Architectural Forms of a Beggar Woman is the final work of Conte's Futurism, where, once the Boccionian-style dynamism has subsided, every form regains solidity. The length of the neck, which slumps over the deformed and ragged body, attracts centrifugal forces and introduces a sense of melancholy pause, a heartfelt reflection on the nightlife of the great modern city.
