The Archaeological Area comes alive with the sounds and voices of ancient Rome
The visits dedicated to are starting again ON-SITE SOUND MEMORIES, in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Florence.
La Network of Museums for All continues to promote accessibility and cultural participation with Memorie Sonore On-Site, the mobile app that enriches the museum experience through sound. Available at the ticket offices.Archaeological Area of Fiesole, from the Primo Conti Museum, from the Museum of the Innocents and Palazzo Vecchio MuseumThe app is accompanied by a special kit with a dedicated audio device, tactile map, and bone conduction headphones. Thanks to this innovative system, visitors can explore works, architecture, and the spaces that house them through sound, transforming listening into an immersive and inclusive experience.
To encourage increasingly participatory use, the Network Museums – in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Florence – propose a calendar of free guided tours, open to both sighted and blind people. During the visits, the public will have an intense and evocative sensory experience, which will allow them to better explore the different soundscapes, creating a relationship with the works and with the museum environments beyond the visual channel, to discover materials, sounds and physical perceptions normally overlooked.
