On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the anthology The new poets of futurism (Rome, Edizioni futuriste di Poesia, 1925), which Filippo Tommaso Marinetti wanted to publish to demonstrate the vitality and compactness that the movement he had conceived and promoted in 1909 continued to have, the Primo Conti Foundation organizes a series of conferences dedicated to different aspects of Futurism: from literature to theater, from painting to music, from architecture to fashion.
The project, curated by Silvia Porto, was born in the spirit indicated in 1925 by the founder of Futurism himself who, as he recalls Gloria Manghetti, President of the Conti Foundation, «had a particular passion for conferences, rather than what he called “written prefaces”, because they were more incisive and in direct contact with the public».
The project aims to explore a new way of conceiving artistic creation, characterized by an interdisciplinary dimension that transcends the boundaries of traditional arts and engages daily life in its entirety, becoming "total art," thus creating a very close link between art and life.
The conferences, which are sponsored by the Municipality of Fiesole, will have an informative nature and will be held in prestigious institutions distributed throughout the territory of the Metropolitan City, which welcomed and financed the Conti Foundation's proposal.
