On the occasion of the extraordinary opening for the European Days of Heritage, the Marucelliana Library participates in the celebrations for the centenary of the Florentine University and with an afternoon dedicated to the prof. Giorgio Luti, whose archives are held by the institute. Libraries often cross paths with authors, artists, and intellectuals, who, from regular visitors and scholars, can become donors capable of further enriching the bibliographic collections. This is the case of Giorgio Luti, a critic, historian, and professor, but best known as an innovator in the study and teaching of Italian studies. He was the first professor at the University of Florence to teach courses in contemporary studies, and one of the first in Italy.
