The Galleria Immaginaria and the Einaudi bookshop in Florence will host the meeting on Friday 23 May 2023 starting at 18.00 pm, around the book “Lucio Fontana. Art concepts. Manifiestos, articulos, entrevistas, scritos y ocho unpublished papers ” edited by Angela Sanna for Alias Editorial.
The volume, based on the Italian edition of "Manifesti, scritti, interviste" edited by Angela Sanna and published by Abscondita (Milan), emphasizes, for the first time in a comprehensive Spanish-language publication, the importance not only of Fontana's work but also of his active role as a cultural promoter and his artistic legacy, which informed the practices that developed from the 1950s onward. The book, in turn, defines other aspects of the Italian-Argentine artist's life through interviews he gave to critics, journalists, and intellectuals of his time.
